P-R-E-S-S-U-R-E — Ever Feel Like Calling It Quits?

After a while, who needs the pressure? Right?

Certainly that is how we feel Most of the time!! But from the Scriptures it is clearly God’s intention to make pressure an integral part of the Christian’s experience:

Confirming the souls of the disciples, and exhorting them to continue in the faith, and that we must through much tribulation enter into the kingdom of God. (Acts 14:22)

The good news is that God is committed to walking with us amidst the pressure, He offers us:

COMPANIONSHIP:

Who shall separate us from the love of Christ? shall tribulation, or distress, or persecution, or famine, or nakedness, or peril, or sword?
Nay, in all these things we are more than conquerors through him that loved us
.
(Romans 8:35, 37)

COMFORT:

Blessed be God, even the Father of our Lord Jesus Christ, the Father of mercies, and the God of all comfort;
Who comforteth us in all our tribulation, that we may be able to comfort them which are in any trouble, by the comfort wherewith we ourselves are comforted of God.
(2 Corinthians 1:3, 4)

PEACE AND VICTORY:

These things I have spoken unto you, that in me ye might have peace. In the world ye shall have tribulation: but be of good cheer; I have overcome the world. (John 16:33)

CHARACTER BUILDING AND AN ETERNAL PERSPECTIVE:

And not only so, but we glory in tribulations also: knowing that tribulation worketh patience; And patience, experience; and experience, hope:(Romans 5:3, 4)

So don’t let the pressure get you down! Rather, recognize its character-building qualities. Take life a step at a time… knowing that your loving heavenly Father is walking with you all the way!

Blessings
