Standing Alone
Standing Alone For God In A Godless World
* Noah, like you, lived in a wicked society.
* Victoriously!
* And so can you!
God’s assessment of Noah’s life?
And the LORD said unto Noah, Come thou and all thy house into the ark; for thee have I seen righteous before me in this generation. (Genesis 7:1)
The Lord was painfully aware of societies’ blatant SINS and VIOLENCE dotted the landscape then just as it does ours.
And GOD saw that the wickedness of man was great in the earth, and that every imagination of the thoughts of his heart was only evil continually.
And it repented the LORD that he had made man on the earth, and it grieved him at his heart. (Genesis 6:5, 6)
Living amidst this decadence (a world that has fallen from a higher quality to a lower one, it has completely deteriorated), (just as Noah’s had in his day) Noah stood up and was counted:
But Noah found grace in the eyes of the LORD. – That is, he was pleasing to God! (Genesis 6:8)
These are the generations of Noah: Noah was a just man and perfect in his generations, and Noah walked with God. – That is, he was lawful and just before God! (Genesis 6:9)
These are the generations of Noah: Noah was a just man and perfect in his generations, and Noah walked with God. – That is, he lived a life of integrity before his fellow man. (Genesis 6:9)
These are the generations of Noah: Noah was a just man and perfect in his generations, and Noah walked with God. – That is, he and God were conversant. They had a relationship. (Genesis 6:9)
STANDING ALONE FOR GOD is a tough but achievable assignment which God expects us to accomplish.
