     THE SPARROW

 

Are not five sparrows sold for two farthings, and not one of them is forgotten before God? But even the very hairs of your head are all numbered. Fear not therefore: ye are of more value than many sparrows.  Luke 12:6-7

The sparrow’s song reassures us that God cares. Fear not! Know that He has the “whole world in His hands.” That includes the sparrow, and you and me.

Casting all your care upon him; for he careth for you.  1 Peter 5:7

Precious Holy Father, we are grateful for the song birds that remind us that You care. Hold us and protect us. May we always trust in Your love and power. Help those who are hurting and ailing, and those who are experiencing great infirmities and afflictions in their lives. Father heal those who need healing. We ask this in the name of Jesus Christ, the Beloved of God. Amen.

And this is the confidence that we have in him, that, if we ask any thing according to his will, he heareth us: And if we know that he hear us, whatsoever we ask, we know that we have the petitions that we desired of him.  1 John 5:14-15

Only God can know HOW our prayers WORK but we believe HE hears and answers.
