DOWN IN THE DUMPS?

The Next Time You Are Down In The Dumps

 

Are you struggling with the blues because someone has made you feel that you are worth nothing as a person…?

Are you to the point that you are despairing of life?

Are you nursing your wounds over being hurt, shunned, or put down?

Do a reality check as to just who you are in the eyes of God:

* GOD HAS ALWAYS LOVED YOU – FROM ALL ETERNITY:

The LORD hath appeared of old unto me, saying, Yea, I have loved thee with an everlasting love: therefore with lovingkindness have I drawn thee  Jer 31:3

* GOD HAS ALWAYS PLANNED TO CHOSE YOU FOR HIMSELF:

According as he hath chosen us in him before the foundation of the world, that we should be holy and without blame before him in love:  Eph 1:4

* GOD THOUGHT ENOUGH OF YOU TO SPILL HIS SON’S BLOOD TO RESCUE YOU:

Forasmuch as ye know that ye were not redeemed with corruptible things, as silver and gold, from your vain conversation received by tradition from your fathers;  But with the precious blood of Christ, as of a lamb without blemish and without spot:
1 Peter 1:18-19

* GOD CONSIDERS YOU HIS SOLE POSSESSION:

Who gave himself for us, that he might redeem us from all iniquity, and purify unto himself a peculiar people, zealous of good works.  Titus 2:14

* GOD HAS INVITED YOU INTO HIS FAMILY TO BE A JOINT-HEIR WITH HIS SON, JESUS:

And if children, then heirs; heirs of God, and joint-heirs with Christ; if so be that we suffer with him, that we may be also glorified together.  Romans 8:17

So take heart, my dear friend and fellow struggler – and heir. It is true, “we must go through many hardships to enter the kingdom of God.” Confirming the souls of the disciples, and exhorting them to continue in the faith, and that we must through much tribulation enter into the kingdom of God. Acts 14:22 But take comfort in knowing that Jesus is returning to take you with Him:

For the Lord himself shall descend from heaven with a shout, with the voice of the archangel, and with the trump of God: and the dead in Christ shall rise first: Then we which are alive and remain shall be caught up together with them in the clouds, to meet the Lord in the air: and so shall we ever be with the Lord.  1 Thess 4:16-17
