IS THIS HAPPENING TO YOU?

DON’T LET THIS HAPPEN TO YOU

Jesus taught: many great spiritual truths in parables. A parable is simply an earthly story or illustration with a heavenly meaning. We can teach and learn much from modern day parables. The following teaches such a profound truth.

IT IS A FACT:

Take a leafy branch of a tree. Lay it carefully aside and watch. Slowly the color fades — the leaves go limp, curl up, and it is…DEAD!

Take a fish out of the ocean. Lay it carefully on the shore and watch. Frantically it twists, struggles, gradually weakens, moving its gills slower and slower, then quivers and it is…DEAD!

Take a church member. Carefully let him or her be separated from God in worship. . . Fellowship, Prayer, and other events. Gradually their conscience quivers as it misses the that close communion with other Christians and The Lord Himself. They fret at Themselves for missing, as other questionable activities began to occupy their time. Soon, they see many hypocrites in the church. They  begin to find fault with everyone and the Pastor.  They find anything they can to berate and belittle, and make their observations as to why things arent going like “they think it should be going”. And before long they take a stand against Christian living — and then they are… DEAD!

Let us guard against THIS HAPPENING TO US! There are many who were active in church who have now isolated themselves and have DIED SPIRITUALLY.

Therefore, my beloved brethren, be ye stedfast, unmoveable, always abounding in the work of the Lord, forasmuch as ye know that your labour is not in vain in the Lord.  1 Cor 15:58
