STRENGTH IN JOY
Just the very declaration of God’s Word should cause you and me to have a very strong and sincere desire to follow and obey it’s truth’s. To do so will result in a real and genuine, and heart felt joy in the Lord.
This “Joy Of The Lord” is based on reconciliation with God and the presence of The Holy Spirit in our lives. We maintain this wonderful Joy by an assurance that we have been forgiven in Christ Jesus and restored to fellowship with Him. It is also maintained by the fact that we now live in harmony with His will.
This joy of of which I speak is:
(1) As A Fortress To Us
This joy guards us from the troubles and the struggles and the problems of each and every day. Great peace have they which love thy law: and nothing shall offend them. Psalms 119:165 But the fruit of the Spirit is love, joy, peace, longsuffering, gentleness, goodness, faith, Gal 5:22
(2) As Power To Us
This joy gives us power and motivates us to perservere in faith until Jesus Christ comes again. And ye shall be hated of all men for my name’s sake: but he that endureth to the end shall be saved Matt 10:22
