HE LIFTS UP THE MEEK

The term Meek here includes those who are suffering, and it also is making reference to those who are going through afflictions. This would have to include most of us today in some way. There are times when we feel that we cannot cope with life’s problems and it’s responsibilities. And many times we cant. It is during these times that we should learn to Call Upon God In Humility. It is during these times that we should Call Upon God For His Help

(1)  God Lifts Up The Meek And Gives Them Support

The Psalmist gave the people an assurance of God’s help and ultimate victory. The meek shall eat and be satisfied: they shall praise the LORD that seek him: your heart shall live for ever. Psalms 22:26

(2)  Just as God supported the meek in the Old Testament Times, Jesus now ministers to the meek and afflicted in New Testament Times.

Come unto me, all ye that labour and are heavy laden, and I will give you rest. Take my yoke upon you, and learn of me; for I am meek and lowly in heart: and ye shall find rest unto your souls. For my yoke is easy, and my burden is light.  Matt 11:28-30

(3)  God Delights In Those Who Are Of A Humble Spirit.

Every believer should pray earnestly for a Humble Spirit. We need this Humble Spirit so that we  may be more pleasing to God. Put on therefore, as the elect of God, holy and beloved, bowels of mercies, kindness, humbleness of mind, meekness, longsufferingCol 3:12
