SWALLOWED UP IN VICTORY
He will swallow up death in victory; and the Lord GOD will wipe away tears from off all faces; and the rebuke of his people shall he take away from off all the earth: for the LORD hath spoken it. Isaiah 25:8
(1) IN GOD’S FUTURE KINGDOM ALL SORROW, MISERY, AND DEATH WILL BE REMOVED.
All of the misery, pain, sorrow, heartache, death that now prevails will be banished forever. It will be completely removed and never again will it re-appear. So when this corruptible shall have put on incorruption, and this mortal shall have put on immortality, then shall be brought to pass the saying that is written, Death is swallowed up in victory. 1 Cor 15:54 Like a caring parent God Himself will wipe away all tears from the eyes of His children. There will never again be a reason or cause for tears or grief.
(2) THIS GLORIOUS EVENT WILL OCCUR WHEN JESUS RETURNS TO EARTH.
When Jesus returns He will triumph over evil, and He will reign over all creation. Just the thought of theses precious promises should lead us to see the Lord’s great love and compassion. And God shall wipe away all tears from their eyes; and there shall be no more death, neither sorrow, nor crying, neither shall there be any more pain: for the former things are passed away. Rev 21:4 These promises should cause us to pray and earnestly and ceaselessly for this glorious time of consummation of redeemption through Jesus Christ.
