GIVE THANKS TO THE LORD
It is a good thing to give thanks unto the LORD, and to sing praises unto thy name, O most High: Psalms 92:1
Thanksgiving and gratitude are basic elements in the believers life.
(1) WE AS CHRISTIANS SHOULD THANK THE LORD
We need to get into the habit of thanking the Lord morning and evening for Salvation through Jesus Christ, God’s only begotten son. Be careful for nothing; but in every thing by prayer and supplication with thanksgiving let your requests be made known unto God. Phil 4:6 Giving thanks unto the Father, which hath made us meet to be partakers of the inheritance of the saints in light: Col 1:12 We need to learn to thank Him for His lovingkindness and His grace, and for His guidance and care. To shew forth thy lovingkindness in the morning, and thy faithfulness every night, Psalms 92:2
(2) WE NEED TO EXPRESS OUR GRATITUDE DAILY
We need to learn to express our love and gratitude to the Lord for the Word of God. For this cause also thank we God without ceasing, because, when ye received the word of God which ye heard of us, ye received it not as the word of men, but as it is in truth, the word of God, which effectually worketh also in you that believe. 1 Thess 2:13 Often we forget that we should express our gratitude for His Spiritual blessings in our life. Blessed be the God and Father of our Lord Jesus Christ, who hath blessed us with all spiritual blessings in heavenly places in Christ: Eph 1:3 Let us as Saints of God give thanks always in the name of the Lord Jesus Christ. And whatsoever ye do in word or deed, do all in the name of the Lord Jesus, giving thanks to God and the Father by him. Col 3:17
