ALL THINGS ARE POSSIBLE
Jesus said unto him, If thou canst believe, all things are possible to him that believeth. Mark 9:23
This statement made by Jesus should not be taken as an unqualified promise from Him.
(1) ALL THINGS
When we see the term “all things” we often have the wrong mis-conception of it. This statement does not mean everything we can think of. Our prayer of faith must be based on the will of God. It will never ask for anything foolish or wrong. Ye ask, and receive not, because ye ask amiss, that ye may consume it upon your lusts. James 4:3
(2) THE FAITH REQUIRED
The faith required here must be received as a gift of God. God implants this faith in the heart of the sincere seeker who lives faithfully according to God’s Will. And Jesus said unto them, Because of your unbelief: for verily I say unto you, If ye have faith as a grain of mustard seed, ye shall say unto this mountain, Remove hence to yonder place; and it shall remove; and nothing shall be impossible unto you. Matt 17:20
