TO SEE THY POWER AND GLORY IN THE SANCTUARY

To see thy power and thy glory, so as I have seen thee in the sanctuary. Psalms 63:2

Many “Christians” today are content to exist in their salvation as it is, without any desire to experience the magnificence of God’s great power and Glory in their lives. However, not only should we seek God’s presence and power in our personal lives but also in the sanctuary.

(1)  HIS SPIRIT AND POWER

We should have a strong desire and have a longing to experience God’s Spirit, Power, and Glory to be manifested in His House. We should pray for God to exert Himself in power against the satanic forces, and demonic oppression that is being perpetrated against so many people. And he healed many that were sick of divers diseases, and cast out many devils; and suffered not the devils to speak, because they knew him Mark 1:34 We should pray for God’s power against sin Knowing this, that our old man is crucified with him, that the body of sin might be destroyed, that henceforth we should not serve sin.  For he that is dead is freed from sin. Romans 6:6-7  We need to pray for God’s power against sickness and infirmities. And Jesus went about all the cities and villages, teaching in their synagogues, and preaching the gospel of the kingdom, and healing every sickness and every disease among the people. Matt 9:35

(2)  THE GOSPEL

It is truly a sad thing in the time in which we live to see so many individuals who only use the church as a means of socializing. So many attend only for the opportunity to visit with their friends, or for only the programs. In reality we should be fervently desiring that the Gospel might convict and save the sinner. And when he is come, he will reprove the world of sin, and of righteousness, and of judgment:  Of sin, because they believe not on me;  Of righteousness, because I go to my Father, and ye see me no more;  Of judgment, because the prince of this world is judged.   John 16:8-11  We should earnestly desire to see them sanctified. Sanctify them through thy truth: thy word is truth. John 17:17  We should want God’s power to bring them into the fullness of the Spirit. But ye shall receive power, after that the Holy Ghost is come upon you: and ye shall be witnesses unto me both in Jerusalem, and in all Judaea, and in Samaria, and unto the uttermost part of the earth. Acts 1:8 We should earnestly desire that the Gospel would also change us as Christians as well. For none of us has yet arrived. Search me, O God, and know my heart: try me, and know my thoughts: Psalms 139:23
